This position will lead the planning and scheduling of all volunteer positions onsite and offsite during Games Done Quick events. Reporting to the Event Directors, this position will collaborate with all departments that recruit volunteers.
This position is expected to work as part of a two-person team to assemble, run, and support the team of volunteer hosts at all onsite events.
This position will be responsible for planning and hosting weekend event specials on Saturday/Sunday to fill gaps in the GDQ Hotfix weekend schedule.
The Volunteer Manager will lead the planning and scheduling of all volunteer positions onsite and offsite during Games Done Quick events. Reporting to the Event Directors, this position will collaborate with all departments that recruit volunteers. This position requires outstanding management and communication skills, promoting teamwork and collaboration across several disciplines within Games Done Quick.
The ideal candidate for Volunteer Manager is a leader with experience constructing schedules and coordinating volunteers, evaluating and refining existing processes to provide and improve upon the experience for volunteers at Games Done Quick events.
Games Done Quick teams work remotely between events and attend events onsite. Flexibility is key.

The Host Volunteer Co-Coordinator is expected to work as part of a two-person team to assemble, run, and support the team of volunteer hosts at onsite events: Awesome Games Done Quick, Summer Games Done Quick and Games Done Quick Express. This includes selecting hosts for the team (for example by running an audition process), providing training and orientation to hosts, and managing any issues that may arise throughout the event related to the hosting team such as schedule changes/backup shifts, feedback, and cross-department procedure updates.
Games Done Quick teams work remotely between events and attend events on-site. As a Host Volunteer Co-Coordinator, your responsibilities will be a mix of offsite pre-event duties and on-site event work. All responsibilities are shared jointly with the other Host Volunteer Co-Coordinator and the two of you will work closely together as a team.

The Hotfix Special Event Showrunner will be responsible for planning and hosting weekend event specials on Saturday/Sunday to fill gaps in the GDQ Hotfix weekend schedule. The purpose of this position is to ensure Hotfix has consistent broadcasts during weekends. Weekend schedules are planned one (1) month in advance, to ensure there is adequate time to plan and prepare talent for shows. Additionally, this position may be asked to cover weekday schedule gaps, if needed.
The ideal candidate for the Hotfix Special Event Showrunner is a self-starter with experience planning events or event schedules, organizing and coordinating talent, has experience in hosting, emceeing, or engaging with an audience via streaming, and is an active member of the speedrunning community.
This position requires outstanding communication and organizational skills, teamwork, collaboration, and experience in streaming or hosting on live broadcasts.
This position is fully remote and is contracted, with opportunity for contract renewal. Pay rate is $30/hour.

Teaming up with several charities in its ten-year history, Games Done Quick is currently the largest individual fundraising event globally for both Prevent Cancer Foundation and Doctors Without Borders USA.
To date, Games Done Quick has raised over 45 million dollars for charity. Our events average over 2000 people in attendance, including staff, volunteers, runners, and attendees!
